Two for the Theatre!

February 16th-March 24th: Trap DoorTheatre company presents They are Dying Out, written by Peter Handke, noted Austrian playwright and writer of novels such as Afternoon of a Writer and The goalie’s anxiety at the penalty kick, the kind of books which cause feverish states and tossing and turning until the next page.

Deemed Chicago’s best avant-garde theater by Chicago Sun-Times journalist Lucia Mauro, the Trap Door Company demonstrates strong stage presence through its interpretation of the classics and oddities of European and American theatrical descent. Hamlet Machine and First Ladies, winter performances of 2011 introduced me to the wonders of the Trap Door and its stage and They are Dying Out begs a visit this winter.

Resident director Max Truax and the troupe of players will hopefully make you join me in saying: Two and three and four and five and six for the theatre!
