Festival de Música Electronica Latina: FMEL Chicago

source: fmelchicago.org
Started back in 2007, as a two day event, offering music and workshops at various venues throughout Pilsen, FMEL is now celebrating five years. Like all good things that come with growth and the spanning of time, the festival has expanded to become a week-long affair hosting everything from live musical acts to lectures, sound art and art exhibitions at a variety of venues throughout the city.
The Co-Prosperity Sphere in Bridgeport will host Amanda Gutiérrez’s site-specific video installation, Topography of Time on August 20th at 7pm.
On the musical menu, Chicago’s own,Lagos, made up of Leo 123 and Radius, will be performing live.  These two very talented individuals recently came together to form Lagos and they will be gracing us with their refreshingly groovy sounds. Scheduling of events will be available soon at fmelchicago.org. To quote a certain Doña Fea, "Viva Mexico y la musica!"
