Nothing going...

If that’s the case, the Chicago Cultural Center is always a good place to start and get it going again.

The newest exhibit, Paint Paste Sticker: Chicago Street Art runs through January 12th in the galleries of the 4th floor.  It features work from local artists such as Matthew Hoffman, creator of the “You are beautiful” stickers you may have or have seen.

Another exhibit, SHIFT is also taking place on one of the lower floors, this one by local collaborative Luftwerk who you may remember from their sound and video installation under the bean at Millennium Park from the winter of 2012.  The exhibit takes the space of three rooms, each creating an ambiance of sound and light, titled respectively, Spectrum, Synthesis, and Threshold.  This exhibit runs through January 5th, 2014 and offers a necessary break from oneself.

Some sweet midday musical events in November and December include Traxman, Nov. 15the Bell Boys (Garrett David and Adam Rowe) Dec. 6 and DJ Rashad rounding out the year on Dec.20, for Wired Fridays, first and third Friday of the month.  So nothing going just became something going if you let it.
