From Irving Park north to Lawrence along one of the most beautiful
avenues in Chicago, Ravenswood that is. A
perfect street for calm drives and fast bike rides, Ravenswood boasts as its name
suggests; remnants of woods; trees, trees and more trees in this sleepy
neighborhood. Before the long winter’s
sleep sets in, RAW offers us a chance to walk up and down the street and
view arts and crafts from a variety of artists and organizations on the last weekend in September, Saturday from
11-7 and Sunday from 11-6.
If you've never walked up or down this street, do give
it a try, industry and greenery at their finest along this avenue. Not a trendy or necessarily lively neighborhood, although an occasional coyote can be seen along the avenue. People here need to concentrate on their work, some of which can be seen
at RAW.
