Directions and connections

Tonight’s moon is hiding above calm and dry ground here, perhaps waiting for the turn of the year.

Just a couple of days ago it was full and visible here and elsewhere.
Don’t worry, be happy cause we’re always looking at the same moon.  It’s full and new everywhere at the same time although it may not appear to be so.

And so all of this moon talk leads me to introduce the weekly broach: The Soft Moon in concert for the release of their newest LP, ‘Zeros’ on label Captured Tracks, at the Empty Bottle.  Been over a year since their last visit to Chicago as the new 2013 awaits them on Saturday, January 12.  The new wave always comes around every now and again and the frequency offered by The Soft Moon deserves some attention and dancing in place.  With all this talk of new I bid farewell to the past, hello to the present and welcome to the future for all of us.
