Through Henri Michaux or the man of jasmine; Unica Zürn’s creation, delirium, dream and joy.
Michaux seems to have been just the kind of guy who took a bath on the fly,
broke movement and form,
if only to return to his norm.
Inspiring not only his contemporaries like Zürn, but today
as well we find Michaux’s poetry and drawings influencing the likes of Quebecoise
choreographer Marie Chouinard in her interpretation of Stravinsky and Nijinsky's Rite of Spring/Henri Michaux: Mouvements which will be performed at the MCA theater from March 21-23.
